No review today. But a question

Do you think this Big Papa has took over the PC gaming market share?
I have been on Steam for years now. Ever since the early days of CSS. And recently like around X-mas of '09. They decided to put game sales. Valve is filled with smart ass people. Eventually Steam just boomed and sales just sky rocketed due to discounts. Looking back at my purchases, a majority of them were discounted games. For example .

1.Bad Company 2, I got that game for $6.79

2.GTA 4: $7.49

3.TF2: $2.49

Tell me those aren't great deals on some good ass games. Services like Steam, Onlive, and Direct2Drive are taking over the market share for PC games by using the idea of having deals. I think the sales at places like Target and Walmart aren't that great

  1. Those are good deals. But sometimes it is nice to have a hard copy of the game just for fun.

  2. Steam is the best for deals, but they're not the best I've seen those games at!

  3. it was a very smart move to get more longevity out of a lot of games that wouldn't of been bought for full price / one month after fan boys all bought their copies

  6. And sorry I should input, more and more retailers in the UK are making deals with companies so there games don't get sold on platforms like steam. Which is just utter bullsh*t.

  27. I support Steam and Valve because they're a local company. So whatever they do, I'm cool with. Local Economy support is key!

  29. Valve, Steam.. It's so easy and accessible. I prefer having my games saved to an account rather than in CDs...

  31. Well, PC gaming is lagging a bit behind consoles. At least in my opinion. I was a pretty huge PC gamer for a while back in the day (still played the consoles too, but FPS on PC was where it was at). But with Xbox and PS2 PC gaming kinda faltered. Think about it. A lot of games are ported to the PC whereas in the past it was the other way around. I remember walking into an EB and the whole side of the store was nothing but the big-ass PC game boxes. Now, of course you wouldn't see that in any store. Its not just because its is going digital but more like sales weren't the same, going digital made sense.

And, oddly enough, I don't mind having my PC games digital. I don't have the discs for hardly any of the games I once owned. If it was a digital platform it would have been super nice. But when it comes to my console, I like the game and case sitting on the shelf. Although my attitude towards that is changing. And if I could afford to keep upgrading my PC I would go back to primarily PC gaming. I don't have loyalty to any one platform.
